Day 1

Colombo Airport – Kegalle – Kandy

When you arrive in Sri Lanka, you will be welcomed by your chauffeur/guide and taken to Kandy through the Kegalle VET Project. He will take part in elephant meal preparation, elephant washing, elephant strolling, and tea time. Later, drive to Kandy, where he will eat dinner and stay the night.

Day 2

KANDY TREKKING

Arrive at the trailhead after breakfast. A summary of the route and the journey Starting the journey Refreshments Activities for exploring the Sri Lankan village lifestyle Photographic shoot Lunch at a local community center Later, return to Kandy for supper and an overnight stay.

Day 3

KANDY-KITHULGALA-TANGALLE

2 Hrs approx. To Kithulgala/ 5 Hrs to Tangalle

After breakfast, depart for Kithulgala and experience 1 hour of white water rafting on the Kelani River. After eating at a local eatery, travel to Tangalle (Southern coast). Tangalle will provide you with meals and overnight lodging.

Day 4

TANGALLE – REKAWA

30 MINS APPROX

Following breakfast, you will travel to Rekawa Beach for a beach cleaning exercise that will be interactive. Later, you will go to a local home and be taught how to prepare basic Sri Lankan cuisine before having lunch there. Return to Rekawa Beach in the afternoon to observe turtles nesting in the dark. Dinner and lodging in Tangalle.

Day 5

TANGALLE – EMBILIPITIYA – UDAWALAWE

After breakfast, depart for Embilipitiya, where you will take part in a service project with a rural school in the region. Students will participate in interactive, knowledge-sharing, and entertaining activities. Later that evening, you will be escorted to Udawalawa National Park, one of the country’s largest national parks and famous for its elephants. Backtrack to Tangalle. Tangalle dinner and accommodation

Day 6

TANGALLE – SOUTH COAST

3.5 HRS APPROX

Proceed to Galle after breakfast. Visit the Virgin White tea plantation and factory along the way to learn about the tea-making process from the bottom up. Later, the Galle Dutch Fort was visited to obtain a better knowledge of the site’s architectural and historical significance. In the evening, you may go to Kosgoda’s turtle hatchery and conservation center. Finally, an ethnic dance presentation with drums will be performed at the hotel. Bentota dinner and overnight stay
