Sri Lanka Culture Heritage Best Tour

Day 1

Airport – Colombo
40 Km approx.
1 Hrs drive

At the airport, you will be greeted by our representative and you will be taken to Colombo city. Relax and recover from any jet lag once you arrive at your hotel.

Day 2

Colombo

Today, your driver guide will take you to some of Colombo’s oddities, including the colorful marketplaces of Pettah, the ancient city of Fort, the Hindu Temple on Sea Street, and the Dutch Church at Wolfendal, or you may go shopping. Begin the day by teeing off on the Colombo 18-hole golf course, which is more than 130 years old and the second oldest royal golf club outside of the United Kingdom. If you like to practice, this is the only course that has a contemporary driving range.

Day 3

Colombo – Kandy
150 Km approx.
4 Hrs 30 min drive

Today you will arrive at Kandy, the hill capital surrounded by greenery and the Mahaweli River. Learn about Kandy and pay your respects at the golden-roofed Temple of the Tooth Relic, which holds Sri Lanka’s most revered relic, a tooth of Lord Buddha. Visit the vibrant market areas, the Upper Lake Drive, and the grandeur of the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, and marvel at the exquisite hill-country breezes that softly split the mist, exposing colorful buildings among Kandy’s wooded halo. If you choose, you may see a variety of cultural dance performances in the late evening. Return to your boutique hotel in the Victoria Golf and Country Resort, which is distinguished by its elegance, solitude, and breathtaking views.

Day 4

Kandy

Step out onto the course today and stroll through fairways bordered with towering mara rain trees. Don’t be shocked if just two or three white egrets soar across the scenery of the majestic Knuckles Mountain range, interrupted by the tranquil Victoria reservoir, during your round on this 18-hole course. The course’s design will also be challenging since you will be playing from one hill to another at times.

Day 5

Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
100 Km approx.
3 hrs Train Journey

Take the morning train to Nanu Oya, passing through the Tea Carpets of Ceylon. With its winding lanes and hazy landscapes, the leisurely descent through the tea farms and hill region provides an unparalleled viewpoint and amazing experience. Welcome to Nuwara Eliya, the tea-growing district of Sri Lanka! Visit a tea farm and factory to learn about the production of Ceylon tea. After that, take a drive around town to view the same sights. With its colonial-era bungalows, Tudor-style hotels, well-tended hedgerows, and lovely gardens, this affluent highland settlement has a rose-tinted, vaguely British-country-village vibe about it. Visit the 18-hole golf course, the colonial members-only Hill Club, and English-styled country residences on a guided tour of the town.

Day 6

Nuwara Eliya

Golf on the 18-hole course at the gorgeous Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, one of Asia’s oldest golf clubs. Despite being only a stone’s throw from town, the club retains an aura of exclusivity, but a desirable apartness, such that entering its gates transports one to a world left behind by the march of history.

Day 7

Nuwara Eliya – Colombo
200 Km approx.
6 hrs Drive

Enjoy the trip to Colombo, passing through tea-carpeted mountains, flowing rivers, and rice paddy farms. You may spend your time doing a city tour of Colombo.

Day 8

We offer you farewell as our Chauffeur Guide transports you to the airport for your return flight home, for all good things must come to an end.
